The redistribution of the components of amorphous metallic alloy Fe70C
r10P13C7 in the uniaxially extended elastically deformed state and in
the plastically deformed state after the unloading is studied by the X
-ray photoelectron spectroscopy method. These reconstructions may be c
onnected to the structure relaxation process which is the characterist
ic for the non equilibrium state of AMA and to the decrease of free su
rface energy. The latter have in turn an effect on the chemical compos
ition of AMA surface layers.
