In the past few years, theoretical and computational work, including t
he effects of electron correlation, allowed the prediction of nonclass
ical hydrogen complexes of nontransition metals. In this Comment, thes
e results are connected to others, starting with H-3(+), and a review
of the ''nonclassical'' binding features of molecular H-2 to metals an
d nonmetals is given. As an example, the prediction of the structure o
f a new such complex, the Li4H22+, is made.
