Abstract
The sedimentation velocity of multiparticle suspensions was investigat ed experimentally for cases where the column. wall is likely to have a nonnegligible effect. The experiments demonstrate that the container wall diameter influences the falling velocity only for dilute systems, which is in contrast with a widely used, established empirical relati onship.
