Abstract
Two microsporidian species, Enterocytozoon bieneusi and Encephalitozoo n intestinalis, are the cause oi diarrhoea and wasting syndrome in AID S patients. A new PCR assay is proposed for the rapid and specific det ection of these parasites in stools.
