The dissociation of H2S in the H2S(1%)-air mixture subjected to the ac
tion of pulsed electric discharge was studied. The formation of H-2, s
olid sulfur, and trace sulfates were observed, It was established that
the presence of O-2 and H2O in the gas mixture decreased energy consu
mption for H2S degradation; it was about 10 eV per molecule.
