Abstract
The dependences of the fluorescence quantum yields of pyrene-1,3,6-tri sulfonate and pyrene-3,5,8,10-tetrasulfonate adsorbed onto TiO2 colloi d on the solution composition were investigated. The increases in pH a nd chloride concentration cause a decrease in the rate constants of fl uorescence quenching. The results are discussed in terms of the potent ial of the surface of the colloid particles.
