Abstract
In this paper, we summarize two processing approaches which have been used to produce pinning centers in melt-textured YBCO resulting in the enhancement of current density. The first approach is the addition of nonsuperconducting inclusions such as Y2BaCuO5, and the second is hig h temperature mechanical deformation to generate dislocations and stac king faults.
