Abstract
This study examined the influence of family of origin and social netwo rk on the divorce process. It turned out that this network of relation ships, including the family and organizations, has an impact on the ef fects of divorce in a supportive manner which helps to facilitate the divorce and adjustments to it. The satisfaction one feels with their c urrent marriage is influenced by the contact they have had with relati ves since the divorce. Participation in organizations and clubs also t urned out to be significantly related to the feeling that things are b etter now than during the divorce.
