Abstract
We present the cytogenetic analysis of a mucoepidermoid carcinoma of t he minor salivary gland with t(11,19)(q21;p13.1) as the sole karyotypi c abnormality. Our findings, along with those of previous reports, ind icate that this translocation is an early and most likely a primary ev ent in the development of at least a subset of these neoplasms.
