Abstract
Vibrational spectra of O-16/O-17/O-18 enriched ozone have been recorde d both in argon and nitrogen matrices using Fourier transform spectros copy. The fundamental bands nu(1), nu(2), and nu(3) as well as the com bination band nu(1) + nu(3) have been analyzed from two mixtures with different isotopic abundances. Most of the observed absorption peaks w ere assigned, and a change in the relative intensities of the three fu ndamental modes was evidenced for unsymmetrical isotopic species. The present investigation has been undertaken to better understand possibl e mechanisms of isotopic enhancements observed in the stratosphere. (C ) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
