Abstract
The highly functionalized organofluorine compounds 3a-c were prepared from the activated dichlorinated sulfides 2a-c by displacement of a ch lorine atom using nucleophilic fluorination agents such as dihydrogenf luoride polymer-supported. Fluorination of sulfoxides 5a-c with diethy laminosulfur trifluoride gives monofluoro sulfides 6a-c, subsequently transformed into alpha-chloro-alpha-fluoro sulfides 3a-c and sulfones 7a-c.
