Abstract
Oxidative cyclization of alcohols containing an aromatic ring with (di acetoxyiodo)benzene and iodine gave the corresponding cyclic ethers vi a alkoxy radicals in good yields. The present method is very useful fo r the direct preparation of flavonoid and vitamin E analogues from the alcohols. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
