Abstract
In May 1993, a severe Leaf blight was observed on Rhapis excelsa in a palm nursery in Perth, Western Australia. The necrotic leaf tissues we re extensively colonised by a species of Phomopsis. Pathogenicity test s confirmed Phomopsis rhapidis as the causal agent.
