Abstract
The kinetic characteristic of photolysis of-cypermethrin sensitized by methylene blue, riboflavin and rose bengal is studied. The relationsh ip between 1/K-expt1 and [A] confirms the mechanism of singlet oxygen photooxidation. Values of CPM in the presence of methylene blue and ri boflavin are 6.49 x 10(-6) and 2.27 x 10(-6) mol(-1). L . s(-1) respec tively. The effective factors such as concentration of sensitizer, atm osphere, probe for O-1(2) and polarity of solvents are discussed for t he photooxidation kinetics of CPM.
