THORACOSCOPIC LOBECTOMY FOR AN INFECTED INTRAPULMONARY BRONCHOGENIC CYST

A 19-year-old male who presented with cough and fever was found to hav e an 8-cm cyst in his left lung, Video-assisted thoracoscopic left low er lobectomy was performed, The cyst had to be decompressed by needle aspiration prior to retrieval through a 5-cm minithoracotomy. The pati ent was discharged on postoperative day 4 in good condition, The techn ical aspects form the basis of this report.
