Abstract
Spatially symmetrical Baxter-Bazhanov model's Boltzmann weights are pr oved to satisfy the tetrahedron equation. The latter is a consequence of the ''inversion'' and ''star-square'' relations for the Boltzmann w eight elementary building blocks.
