Abstract
This paper presents a heterodyne technique by which to solve an invers e problem on the determination of the media turbulence characteristics . Theoretical modelling of optical wave propagation through turbulent media is based on the use of the Kolmogorov-Oboukhov model. The cohere nce degree of the wave, measured by heterodyne detection, allows us to obtain the transverse correlation lengths and the index-of-refraction structure constant of the turbulent media.
