Abstract
A novel large monomer of vinylcarbazole bonded to copper phthalocyanin e (VKCuPc) is synthesized by diazo-reaction of vinylcarbazole (VK) and the diazonium salt of dinitro-diamine copper phthalocyanine [CuPc(NO2 )(2)(NH2)(2)]. Through homopolymerization, poly( vinylcarbazole bonded CuPc) (I) is obtained. The structures of the monomer and the homopoly mer (I) are identified by IR, UV/VIS, VPO, elemental analysis and atom ic absorption. The VKCuPc monomer and the homopolymer show much better photoconductivity compared with CuPc.
