Wa. Schobel et al., PERFORATION OF A SIDE BRANCH OF THE RIGHT CORONARY-ARTERY DURING SELECTIVE CORONARY ANGIOGRAPHY USING 5 FRENCH JUDKINS CATHETERS, Catheterization and cardiovascular diagnosis, 36(2), 1995, pp. 156-159
In this case report the first known case of a perforation of a side br
anch of the right coronary artery during diagnostic coronary angiograp
hy using 5 French Judkins catheters is described which occurred by sel
ective intubation, Although catheter placement was controlled by contr
ast test injection the catheter occasionally intubated the conus arter
y superselectively just prior to the diagnostic injection, Thus, perfo
ration of small side branches may be encountered especially by the use
of 5 French Judkins catheters. (C) 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
