I. Sasagawa et al., DICENTRIC Y-CHROMOSOME WITHOUT EVIDENCE OF MOSAICISM IN AN AZOOSPERMIC MALE, Scandinavian journal of urology and nephrology, 30(1), 1996, pp. 75-76
A phenotypically male of dicentric Y chromosome with no evidence of se
x chromosomal. mosaicism is reported. Staining of fluorescence in situ
hybridization using Y chromosome centromere-specific DNA probe showed
the presence of two bright fluorescent spots in Y chromosome. Testicu
lar histology revealed maturation arrest at the stage of primary sperm
atocyte. It is suggested that structural anomaly of the Y chromosome i
s related to the disturbance of spermatogenesis.
