Abstract
In a recent paper, Charif-Chefchaouni and Schonfeld investigated the i nvertibility of a morphological representation of binary images and de termined the necessary and sufficient conditions for its inverse. In t his correspondence, we show that one of the derived necessary conditio ns is not valid. A counterexample is given to illustrate our observati on.
