Abstract
An efficient and reusable polystyrene-supported eta(5)-cyclopentadieny l rhodium catalyst is prepared and applied to the synthesis of substit uted cyclopentanones either via hydrocarbonylative cyclization startin g from 1,4-dienes or from allyl vinyl ethers via tandem Claisen rearra ngement and intramolecular hydroacylation of the 4-pentenal intermedia tes.
