athiafulvalene-7,7,8,8-tetracyano-p-quinodimethane (TTF-TCNQ) thin fil
ms were prepared on common glass by chemical vapour deposition (CVD) a
t low pressure and using tetrathiafulvalene and tetracyanoquinodimetha
ne as precursors. The layers exhibit a preferential orientation in the
crystallization along the [001] direction and have a room-temperature
conductivity of 6-24 Omega(-1) cm(-1). The evaluation of the stoichio
metry was performed by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Crystallite orientation wa
s determined by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Th
e morphology and structure of the layers were also studied.
