The data of the ''Keylwerth-Diagram'', developed from sorption measure
ments of W. K. Loughborough (1931), were compared with the sorption da
ta for spruce and beech wood from L. Weichert (1963). Significant diff
erences between these different sets of data are only given for data f
rom desorption, for small moisture contents and for sorption at low te
mperatures. Differences between sorption for spruce and beech wood can
be partial neglected, if the accuracy of the diagram is considered. B
ecause the data of Loughborough could not be verified, new diagrams fo
r spruce and beech wood, under consideration of adsorption and desorpt
ion, were developed using the data of Weichert.
