The chalky phosphatic internal mould of the right valve of an adult ra
diolitid Durania blayaci (Toucas, 1909) (Middle Cenomanian, Craie de R
ouen Fm, Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, France) contains ca 60 juveniles, 1
to 4 mm long, all oriented with the right valve towards the adult she
ll. The right valve of these juveniles is coiled and there is a monopl
eurid or caprotinid-like hinge. Three scenarios are discussed: canniba
lism, fixation of larvae on the adult shell and incubation.
