New data on Ancylostoma martinezi Miquel, Torres, Casanova et Feliu, 1
994 (Nematoda: A n c y l o s t o m a t i d a e), an oioxenous parasite
from the small intestine of the common genet, Genetta genetta (Linnae
us, 1758) (Carnivora: V i v e r r i d a e). A. martinezi is characteri
zed by: a) the presence of three pairs of ventro-lateral teeth in the
buccal capsule; and b) cuticular prominences in the shape of serration
s on the dorso-lateral borders of the oral cavity. This Nematode is ma
inly distributed in Northeastern Spain, with a prevalence of 9.4% in i
ts host.
