Abstract
We have developed an economic liquid crystal/polymer dispersion materi al that can be used for storing optical holographic images. In this pa per, we demonstrate the use of thin film samples of this material to f abricate various gratings based on the recording of the interference p atterns set, up by two coherent Ar+ laser beams. The gratings formed a re permanent, but are electrically switchable.
