Abstract
The valence transition at finite temperature in mixed valence (MV) sys tems is investigated using the extended Falicov-Kimball (F-K) model wi th Coulomb f-f and the electron phonon (EP) interactions. The role of different interactions and the influence of temperature on the valence transition are studied. It is found that the lowering of temperature favours the transition. The results are compared with existing experim ental findings.
