Abstract
The X-ray crystal structure of the triiridium p-t-butylcalix[5]arene h ost molecule 5)-C(5)Me(5))}(3)p-t-butylcalix[5]arene-H)[BF4](5) 5 reve als the deep inclusion of one of the BF4 anions within the bowl shaped cavity of the macrocycle.
