Abstract
Calcium and seven minor inorganic components (iron, manganese, nickel, chromium, copper, cadmium and lead) were determined in aerosols colle cted at the Alfabia and Soller stations (Majorca, Spain), 1100 and 100 m above sea level, respectively. The results obtained reveal a marked influence of long-distance transport of natural and anthropogenic mat erials. A statistical study allowed the metals to be grouped according to their origin.
