Two experimental laparsocopic techniques of Roux-en-Y-choledochojejuno
stomy are presented and compared in the long-term follow-up over 6 mon
ths. The results were technically and functionally identical but the T
ESA-technique demonstrated significantly shorter operating time and th
e advantage of a completely foreign material-free anastomosis after re
absorption of the PGA-stent fragments during the fourth week of follow
-up. The presented laparoscopic techniques appear to offer a very reas
onable therapy for non-resectable peri-ampullary tumors combining the
benefits of minimally invasive endoscopic stent placement with the fun
ctional results and lower readmission of conventional Roux-en-Y-choled
ochojejunostomy.
