Abstract
The results of the current study indicate that the presence of Diaspir in Crosslinked Hemoglobin (DCLHb(TM)) in blood plasma does not exacerb ate reperfusion-injury in postischemic tissue. The reduction of the nu mber of adhering leukocytes to postcapillary venular endothelial cells as well as the reduction of macromolecular leakage with subsequent ex travasation of plasma to the perivascular tissue and edema formation f avour the treatment of reperfusion-injury with DCLHb(TM).
