Abstract
A 56-year-old HLA B27-negative female developed multifocal aortic arte ritis with ectasia, followed several months later by ankylosing spondy litis, Inflammatory arteritis was documented in a subclavian biopsy sp ecimen, The patient did not meet clinical or histologic criteria for T akayasu's disease, Prosthetic replacement of the ascending aorta with reimplantation of the innominate artery was required, Severe immune dy sfunction was a striking feature in this patient.
