A cross-correlation analysis of the noise envelope and fast fluctuatio
ns of wind velocity over a water basin is discussed. It is demonstrate
d that the correlation of noise level with wind velocity becomes notic
eable when their variability periods exceed 2-5 min. For such realizat
ions, noise becomes nonstationary. The spatial correlation radius of n
oise fluctuations increases along with the frequency cross-correlation
of these fluctuations.
