Abstract
Sound reflection and scattering from a model ice cover was studied for an arbitrary value of the Rayleigh parameter with allowance for sound scattering into ice-cover surface waves. It was shown that at low fre quencies, the sound scattering into the eigenmodes of the ice cover co nsiderably attenuates the coherent sound field.
