Abstract
The field of early intervention, which deals with unique demands, requ ires early interventionists who can creatively resolve problems, criti cally think about issues, and collaboratively apply concepts to meet t he complex needs of Families. Case-study teaching fosters these same s kills by using real problems and actual experiences. A case study is a n in-depth description about a complicated situation that requires a d ecision or solution. The problem, however, is that case-study teaching is easier said than done-learning about case-study teaching is an exp eriential process. The purposes of this article are to present a model used to instruct workshop participants and to provide some practical suggestions for using case-study teaching while training early interve ntionists.
