Sq. Deng et al., A NEW ONE-DIMENSIONAL COMPOUND - SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURE OF INNB3(SE2)6, Acta crystallographica. Section C, Crystal structure communications, 49, 1993, pp. 786-788
The new one-dimensional compound, indium niobium selenide, was synthes
ized by high-temperature solid-state reactions. The structure is compo
sed of [Nb3(Se2)6]infinity chains running along the c axis with In ato
ms intercalated between these chains. All the Nb atoms have rectangula
r antiprismatic coordination environments. All the Se atoms in the str
ucture are in the form of Se2 dimers with Se-Se distances of 2.325 (2)
and 2.356 (2) angstrom.
