This article describes the Adult Career Concerns Inventory (ACCI; Supe
r, Thompson, & Lindeman, 1988), an instrument developed by Donald Supe
r and his colleagues for use by counselors in facilitating adult caree
r planning and exploration. The evolution of the instrument is reviewe
d from the early version that attempted to measure career development
to the current form that assesses adults' awareness of the tasks assoc
iated with career adaptability. Also included is a discussion of relev
ant studies of the instrument's psychometric properties, practical app
lications, and possibilities for future research.
