Abstract
The finely divided Pd deposits on the graphitized carbon cloth have be en synthesized. The specific surface areas of the active phase have be en calculated from electrodesorption currents of copper deposited at t he underpotential. Among the electrocatalysts, prepared by electrodepo sition at different potentials, Pd/C electrode with E(r)(dep) = 0.3 V has been shown to be the most active by adsorption characteristics and electrooxidation of formic acid. The electrocatalytic activity of Pd/ C electrodes in the reaction under study has been found to increase wi th the degree of metal particle dispersion.
