The electroreduction of chromium oxides of nonstoichiometric compositi
on in glycine solutions is investigated in comparison with inorganic l
igands. The process is shown to proceed via the same topochemical mech
anism independently of the ligand nature that determines the kinetics
of this process. The regularities,governing the electrochemical behavi
or of the system electrode-film-electrode, which were established earl
ier, are common to electrolytes with ligands of various nature.
