Abstract
The cross sections for the production of heavy quarks in pp collisions and for their photo- and electroproduction are calculated in QCD. The virtual nature of interacting gluons and their transverse momenta and polarizations are taken into account. The resulting cross sections gr ow with energy faster than in the parton model, while the p(T) distrib utions of heavy quarks produced are smoother.
