Abstract
An efficient numerical technique based upon a surface integral equatio n formulation for the coupling of bodies of revolution (BORs) to non-B OR geometries for the design of practical microstrip-slot-aperture-cou pled dielectric resonator antennas is presented, The moment method mat rix fill time and memory requirements are significantly reduced by uti lizing Fourier mode basis functions on the BOR together with the spect ral domain Green's function for the printed circuit board, Two practic al antennas are designed and fabricated, Antenna input impedances pred icted by this technique are in good agreement with those of the actual devices.
