Abstract
Lumbar subdural abscesses have rarely been reported in the literature, and the complications of epidural infiltrations predominantly include arachnoiditis, meningitis and epidural abscesses. We report a case of lumbar subdural abscess confirmed by surgery, which appeared followin g epidural infiltration for lumbar sciatica and was examined with comp uted tomography and MRI. Only the latter technique alone showed the ab scess, after gadolinium injection, and established its intradural site .
