Abstract
An automated set-up permitting the identification of the microstructur e carbon steel wire of by the values of the harmonic components of ind uction emf and the level of Barkhausen magnetic noise is described. Th e time for microstructural identification of one specimen is less than 2 min, and the assurance of identification is 85% or better.
