Abstract
A method for the determination of thickness of the strengthened surfac e layer after plastic deformation is considered. The method is based o n the use of sectional specimen containing a ring of changeable thicln ess. The depth of strengthened layer is determined by the ring thickne ss on the boundary of the surface deformation region.
