Abstract
The stress state of a coating tested for shearing adhesive strength is analyzed. Relationships are proposed that enable a comparison of resu lts obtained on cylindrical test specimens of different size. A stress concentration factor is derived that enables one to obtain accurate v alues of shearing adhesive strength.
