Abstract
Elastoplastic strain of a plate with a stress concentrator is studied using a holographic interferometry method. The onset of local yield of a material can be established by measuring the ratio of incremental s train to incremental load for a specimen with a stress concentrator sp ecimen subjected to stepwise tension.
