Abstract
Works of A. N. Kolmogorov and N. V. Smirnov devoted to one-sided and t wo-sided criteria of concordance and uniformity are considered. It is shown that the use of the term ''Kolmogorov-Smirnov criterion'' is not correct. Recommendations on the use of the terms ''Kolmogorov criteri on,'' ''Smirnov criterion,'' and ''Kolmogorov-Smirnov criterion'' are given.
