Abstract
We analyze the dynamics of an excited two-level atom in the presence o f other deexcited atoms in a cavity. We show, that due to an instantan eous phase shift experienced by one of the atoms, the probability for emitting a photon into the cavity can be increased. In the special cas e of only two atoms in the cavity we show that the system with certain ty can release a photon that is otherwise partially trapped.
