The paper analyzes, on a subjective basis, aspects of how to write sci
entific papers that will be accepted for publication in peer review jo
urnals. For each individual section of the manuscript, i.e. Introducti
on, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Abstract, and Referenc
es, general comments and examples are given. It is concluded that writ
ing scientific articles is a form of mental exercise that has to be pr
actised to be successful.
